The Mission Pattern
One composite, reproducible observation with a historical interpretation
This is one documented requirement within the current total of 290. A submission must provide the comparable reproducible result required under the published challenge rules.
The reproducible core
Using the supplied frozen torah.txt transliteration, remove spaces and search the resulting character stream for DFVSY, the spelling used by this project for “patterns.” Test positive offsets beginning at two and, for each offset, test starting positions from the beginning of the text.
Result: The first complete match is found at offset 18, beginning at character position 238,649 when positions are counted from zero. It begins at the second letter of the fourth displayed word in Numbers 30:4.
The match can be reproduced by find_patterns.java. The supplied files retain the exact transliteration, verse order, and search spelling; changing any of those definitions may change the result.
Numbers 30:4
“And her father hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her father shall hold his peace at her: then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand.”
ושמע אביה את נדרה ואסרה אשר אסרה על נפשה והחריש לה אביה וקמו כל נדריה וכל אסר אשר אסרה על נפשה יקום
The offset-18 search begins within this supplied verse record. This location claim is computationally reproducible; its theological meaning is a separate interpretation.
The 490-character extraction
The historical construction continues the offset-18 sequence for 7 × 70 = 490 characters and compares substrings with words in the supplied biblical dictionaries. The original colored display is retained below.

Green identifies the searched spelling of “patterns.” Other colors identify the words assigned to the four phrases. Hebrew is read from right to left.
The four historical phrases
Mission: Where they were consumed we shall come.
Motto: His men you shall make.
Creed: Spare Terah and will circumcise.
Purpose: Where by Him who loins and in the dungeon and with his weapons place of concourse do do take Nob.
These phrases are meaningful to this project's history and ministry. However, the software uses specified word lengths, occurrence groupings, dictionary scopes, translations, and special substring choices. They are therefore presented as interpretations of the one construction, not as four independently preselected statistical tests. The longer purpose also changes when the dictionary scope changes from the Torah to the full Old Testament data.
Verified supporting observations involving 18
| Observation | Verified result | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Selected ordinal-number words in the Old Testament | Weighted value 6,840 is divisible by 18; digit sum 18. | numb18.htm |
| The same selected words in Numbers | Count 162 and weighted value 792 are divisible by 18; 792 has digit sum 18. | numb18.htm |
| All displayed Old Testament number totals | 3,682 verse totals sum to 28,088,550; it is divisible by 18 and has digit sum 36. | num18.htm |
| Twelve tribal names in Numbers 2 | Total Hebrew place value 576 and total Hebrew ordinary value 3,690 are divisible by 18; each has digit sum 18. | numbers2.htm |
| Verses containing the English word “pattern” in the specified source | The displayed place total is 7,182; its digits sum to 18 and it is divisible by 18. | Historical observation retained from the original page. |
| Twenty amino-acid electron totals ordered as displayed | 30 of 210 contiguous sums are divisible by 18; 7 are divisible by 180. | amino18.htm |
Statistical boundaries
- The earlier cumulative claims of one in 1023, one in four trillion, and similar exact totals are removed. They did not account for all search and interpretation choices.
- The amino-acid results are arithmetically correct, but the former one-in-30,000 estimate is not retained. Every displayed electron total is even, so divisibility by 18 does not have a simple 1-in-18 baseline; the contiguous sums are also correlated.
- The fact that the discovery was made in 2018 is a historical coincidence and is not assigned a separate probability.
- The mission, motto, creed, and purpose remain visible but are not four formal challenge requirements.
A separate remainder observation
num30_4.java converts Genesis 1:1 into the displayed relative-position number 2910512911635711307574113198. Its digits sum to 103, and division by 2,558 leaves remainder 2,018.
num30_4.java, while the Numbers 30:4 verse displayed above has value 5,496 under the same value mapping. This may reflect a Hebrew/English verse-numbering difference or an adjacent-verse reference. Until that textual relationship is documented, the remainder observation is retained separately and is not part of the formal offset-18 requirement.Reproducibility files

The generated evidence pages survive, but their original generation programs were not located. Their displayed arithmetic has been checked; that is distinct from independently reconstructing every original linguistic selection.
